Going Deeper with Floortime for Parents - Parent 1 Follow Up
The non-profit Astra Foundation is offering a Floortime Intensive course for Parents. This course is open to families who have attended previous Astra classes.

About the Course
An on-line support group for parents who have taken Astra Floortime Part One.
You are invited to join this group of like-minded parents and to extend your use of
Floortime.
The curriculum will be developed in response to the current needs of the individuals in
the group and discussion will be shaped around your experiences with your child.
Sharing of videotape with the group is recommended but optional. The atmosphere is
designed to be non-critical and supportive.
Topics might include using the DIR model to:
- go deeper in Floortime
- teach academics.
- understand behavior and regulation.
- cooking to improve communication and motor planning.
- foster peer and sibling interactions.
Duration: This course meets 6 times on Tuesday evenings from 8:00 to 10:00 In
addition to sharing video during the workshops, there is the opportunity to discuss
videotapes by e-mail.
Course fees: $120 for the family.
